When you contact us

The Contact form sends us your name, email address and message. The connection IP address reported by the server is included in the email subject to help identify spam and misuse. A proxy or VPN may obscure your original address. These details are delivered to our mailbox rather than stored in the website content database.

We use this information to respond to enquiries and protect the website against abuse, based on our legitimate interests in correspondence and site security. Where an enquiry concerns services you request, processing may instead be necessary to take steps towards a contract. Providing information is voluntary, but the form requires a name, valid email address and message. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.

How long we keep correspondence

Ordinary contact enquiries, including the IP address included in the email subject, are deleted 12 months after the conversation ends. This policy is applied in our mailbox; it is not an automatic website deletion feature. Separate records needed for contractual or legal obligations may have different retention requirements.

Essential cookies and age confirmation

The website uses essential cookies for session security and remembering age confirmation. Age confirmation lasts for your browser session, or up to 90 days if you select “Remember me”. You can use “Forget age confirmation” on this Privacy Policy page to remove that confirmation.

Your date of birth is checked in your browser. It is not sent to the server or stored. Only confirmation that you meet the age threshold is sent.

Hosting, email and security

We use Site5 hosting and email services to deliver and secure the website and correspondence. These services process technical information, which may include IP addresses and server logs. The website also uses IP-based security limits to reduce abuse.

The 12-month correspondence policy does not set the retention periods for provider logs or backups. Provider processing locations, log and backup schedules and any applicable safeguards for processing outside the European Economic Area are being verified. Contact us for the current information. We will update this policy when those details are confirmed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, or data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need information to verify your identity before responding.

Contact siroesh@siroesh.com to exercise your rights. You may also complain to a data protection authority, including Hungary’s National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), or the authority where you live or work.

Visitor comments — updated 19 October 2026

Where enabled on an Article or Gallery, any visitor may submit a comment without an account. The form requires a name, email address and comment; the website also stores the connection IP reported by the server and the original submission date. A proxy or VPN may obscure your original IP. Use plain text and emojis only: no HTML, links or code. Avoid including sensitive or private information in your name or comment.

Comments are private until approved by the administrator. Approval may take time. If approved, the supplied name, comment and original submission date are public, even if approval happens years later. Email and connection IP are visible only to the administrator and are never included in the public comment display. We use these private details for comment administration and reference, including protection against abuse.

Pending comments remain pending indefinitely unless approved or rejected. The comment, email and IP remain stored together for as long as the comment is retained, whether pending or approved. Rejection or deletion permanently removes the comment and its accompanying details from the active website database. Approved comments may be deleted at any time. Deleting the Article or Gallery also deletes its comments; disabling comments hides them without deleting them. Existing backups may retain older copies under the backup arrangements described in this policy.

A notification email alerts the administrator to a submission; it contains no commenter name, email, IP or comment text. Contact siroesh@siroesh.com about a comment or your accompanying information, including a request for deletion. The rights and contact details elsewhere in this policy also apply to comments.
